Three brand new Transformers attractions are set to come to Saudi Arabia with the first set to open at SEVEN’s entertainment destination in Al Hamra, but who are SEVEN I hear you cry.
SEVEN also known as Saudi Entertainment Ventures are a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund who have signed a licensing agreement with Hasbro to bring these Transformers-themed attractions to life.
There will be many SEVEN entertainment venues but the first Transformers park is set to open in the entertainment destination in Al Hamra, Riyadh. There will be a whole host of themed attractions which will offer themed and immersive experiences for people of all ages including the first rollercoaster of its kind in the world, an S&S Axis coaster.
This unique worlds first coaster from manufacturers S&S Worldwide will consist of a purple ride car which will incorporate 4D vehicle technology as the coaster has an axis rotation where guests can free spin whilst the coaster navigates the layout of the track.
Movement of the train will independently spin which means every ride experience will be different depending on the weight and distribution of passengers.
It will be the first ride of its kind anywhere in the world and was originally rumoured to be linked to Blackpool Pleasure Beach (now known as Pleasure Beach Resort) before heading to Saudi Arabia.
The coaster will feature launches and will take guests 46 feet in the air and reach a top speed of 45mph.
In total, there are 21 SEVEN entertainment destinations planned for the kingdom but the Transformers theme park will be 10,000 square metres in size with two additional attractions set to open at other SEVEN’s entertainment destinations.
Expect lots of themed merchandise and retail stores in addition to themed food and beverage venues not to mention immersive theming, it makes for one very exciting project indeed.
Saudi Arabia is going all out to develop themed entertainment venues with SEVEN, Qiddiya and other projects in the works to ramp up tourism within the kingdom.
SEVEN is investing more than SAR 50 billion to bring these venues to life across 14 cities, those 14 cities are as follows: Riyadh, Kharj, Makkah, Jeddah, Taif, Dammam, Khobar, Al Ahsa, Madinah, Yanbu, Abha, Jizan, Buraidah, and Tabuk.
