The Board assembly for the NAMI Wilmington Chapter was referred to as to order by Doug
Engelman, President at 7:00 pm. A quorum was established with seven board members
current.

Outdated Enterprise:
A movement was made by Julie Morrow and seconded by Bob Taglin to approve the minutes from
the August 15, 2023 NAMI Wilmington Public Board Assembly. This movement was unanimously
authorized.

New Enterprise:
Monetary Report- Julie Morrow reported on the Assertion of Exercise for January- August 2023.
Complete income is $44,133.28 with complete expenditures of $26,134 leading to a internet working
income of $17,999.28.

Stroll Replace- Janis Eldridge reported that to this point we now have over $16,000 dedicated from our
Stroll sponsors.The Stroll might be going down on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Lengthy Leaf
Park in Wilmington. Registration is on our web site at namiwilmington.org. Radio promoting will
start September 21 on WGNI and run twice a day till the Stroll. Doug Engelman might be
interviewed on WECT selling the Stroll on Monday, September twenty fifth. All volunteers have to
be on the park by 8:00 am.

Board Member Nominations Committee- Doug Engelman reported on the necessity for a Nominating
Committee to be shaped to proceed with the voting means of present potential Board Member
canidates. Brian Mingia volunteered to assist on the committee.

Help Applications Replace- Chuck Eldridge reported that we presently have three underserved
Peer Help Teams established. They’re Home Violence, PAMH/Ocean Home and The
Therapeutic Place of New Hanover. The Supplier Program is underway with the next members Kim Palmer, Carolyn Craddock and Chuck. Dennis Doll is presently in coaching and Chuck will
confirm if Sheryl Sparks is eligible to be a member as effectively. Chuck talked about the Household to Household
Training Course has seven folks already eager about signing up. Extra particulars to comply with with
dates chosen. Dennis Doll mentioned the Certification Coaching course of wanted for the Ending
the Silence presenters. They may want each in-person and on-line coaching for leaders, college students
and younger adults. Dennis is making an attempt to get into the New Hanover faculty system by first reaching
out to the college board and guardian advisor board with shows.

President’s Report- Doug Engelman reported on the present standing of NAMI NC and newly employed
Holly Doggett as NC State Director. She has expressed the significance of constancy. With the intention to
enhance our chapter’s constancy among the many present help packages we might be implementing a
“Constancy Coach”

Communications- Doug Engelmen and Michelle Hettmann are engaged on contact info
enhancements, particularly relating to the web site. Their high precedence is to resolve points for
