FEAST Portland, the meals pageant that drew individuals from everywhere in the nation to our native meals scene has taken its final bow.

Such a message would have been unthinkable simply a few years in the past, however so much has modified since early 2020—each for our group and for the communities with which we’re aligned.

Trying again, I’m grateful for the eight years of Feast from 2012 to 2019, and particularly grateful to the core workforce that made Feast a actuality. Above all: three individuals. Thanks to my sensible and inventive unique co-conspirators Carrie Welch and Jannie Huang: Portland will ceaselessly be grateful to each of you. And thanks to our tireless director Emily Crowley who led the workforce with muscle and coronary heart for greater than a decade. Even because the final two years despatched the 4 of us in new instructions, our time collectively was actually magical. With out this core group of individuals, there would have been no Feast Portland.
To everybody else on Crew Feast, our core collaborators, our associates within the chef and restaurant group, our companions and sponsors, distributors and company, thanks for believing and investing in our imaginative and prescient.
In 2012, we got down to create a culinary pageant that was worthy of town we beloved, priceless to the trade we represented, and related on the planet of meals. I’m proud to say that Feast succeeded on all counts, and looking out again, in all probability ended when it wanted to.
Trying ahead, we might have some surprises to share. And for these of you questioning, now we have had enjoyable with our new Feast publication, and we plan to maintain that going. (So don’t unsubscribe but!)
