Arthur Asher Miller was born to Augusta Barnett and Isidore Miller. His father owned a profitable ladies’s clothes manufacturing enterprise and the household lived a snug way of life till almost dropping all the pieces throughout the Nice Despair.

In 1956, he married for the second time to actress Marilyn Monroe.
